Synopsis:
On the edge of the Sahel, firewood is becoming scarce and expensive. The desert is moving closer. To counter this deforestation and the poverty it causes, a network of NGOs, craftsmen-welders and women's associations have for the past ten years been developing an alternative to firewood: parabolic solar cookers. These local partners have expressed the need for an audiovisual tool to help raise public awareness and promote and popularize this technique.
