Synopsis:
In 2008, the ruthless murder of a 14-year-old school girl and her manservant shocked India. Murders that still remain unsolved. It was a case in which the father of the girl was arrested, her mother interrogated. It made daily headlines for months, scrutinized closely by the media. Several saw this as a trial by the media. "Prime Time Crime" showcases what it means for a crime reporter to work under deadlines, to get exclusives. A crime often gets maximum coverage and more so if it happens in a big metro like Mumbai or Delhi. Where does one draw the line between fact and sensation when reporting on crime, and how tough is it to be objective and exact in the mayhem of breaking news?
