Synopsis:
This video features compelling video footage looking at the denial of adequate education for Romani children in Slovakia. These include images of Roma families living in settlements with no water or electricity (often sharing one room with the whole family), interviews with those families, images of the difficulties children face with getting to school, images of a segregated Romas-only school, images of segregated Roma and non-Roma nursery groups, images of Romani children attending special schools, interviews with a school inspector and a representative from the ministry of education and interview clips with Nicola Duckworth, Europe and Central Asia Director, Amnesty International.
