Synopsis:
Musicians without Borders (MwB), established in 1999, is a global network organization using the power of music for healing and reconciliation in areas torn by war and conflict. Rap for Change is a short film about our rap project in Palestinian refugee camps. Rap is the international language of disenfranchised urban youth and a creative way for young people to raise their voices. Musicians without Borders trains Palestinian rappers in leadership, beat-making, and recording, creating a team of rap workshop leaders functioning as role models for the younger generation. The rappers teach teenagers to write, record and perform their own rap songs, expressing themselves, their hopes and their dreams through music.
