Synopsis:
Human rights are universal and apply to everyone in the world. However, these rights are violated everywhere in the world. Half of our world's population consists of women; a woman is a subject who should be treated as a fully respected member of society. Nevertheless, she is generally considered as an object, as something without a will of its own. Sometimes women are even abused or killed. Their faces become lost and confused. This documentary is about lost and confused faces of women and girls in Turkey and The Netherlands. With this documentary we aim to raise self-awareness towards self-empowerment processes concerning the particular issue of honour-killings, honour-related violence and other harmful traditions by portraying the stories of women in their plea for justice.
