Synopsis:
Join host Ashira and Cultureshoc, Palestine's first rock band, at Qalandia checkpoint where they hope to bring some joy to the kids who work at the checkpoint by inviting them to a day in the park. Hear the stories and dreams of these children and listen to song dedicated to these children by Cultureshoc. "Sleepless in Gaza ... and Jerusalem" is a video diary of young Palestinian women - Muslim and Christian - living in Gaza, Jerusalem and the rest of the West Bank, that shows the real life of Palestinians living under occupation. This three-month project examines the the day-to-day lives of the Sleepless Girls and the diverse reality of Palestine, be it social, political, economic, religious, or military.
