Synopsis:
“Transition” is the first episode of a documentary series that follows a team of eco-activists and engineers from Project 90 x 2030 as they bring green energy solutions to communities across South Africa, empowering them to build a better future. In “Transition”, the team installs a solar photovoltaic system to power a community project on Goedgedacht farm, in the Western Cape. Here, an African-based charity is making a real difference by caring for the environment and helping rural children escape poverty. By using solar energy, they are able to save money, reduce their carbon footprint and contribute to a sustainable future. As political theorist John Schaar once said: “the future is not some place we are going to, but one we are creating….”
