Synopsis:
Joe Strain, an independent black smith, had a thriving small business in the New Orleans area until Katrina hit. Everything he had was destroyed, but he stayed, because in the midst of the havoc around him, he realized his skills would be needed to rebuild the Gulf Coast. Like many artists and craftspeople in New Orleans, Joe works on any and all kinds of jobs to make a living and thrives in a setting where people share resources and skills to accomplish the task.
