Synopsis:
This documentary is filmed inside the benedictine convent of St. Andrew in Rab, Croatia. This benedictine convent has been present on the island for over 900 years and there are now nine sisters who modestly live in the convent from the "divine providence" and the gifts of benefactors. Sisters make handicrafts, baked wafers, handle the monastery garden, carefully maintain the purity of the monastery and the church of St. Andrew.
This film shows the, until now, hidden inside life of the nuns. It portrays how prayer and work interlace during the day, between the morning Mass at 8:00 am and evening hours 18.00. With the consent of Benedictine Sisters, this film has been deliberately made without speaker's comments, with the
intention to evoke the feeling of a spiritual peace that reigns in the monastery, but also to aspire towards Inner Peace in the viewer's soul and to remove the burden of today's busy life and lack of time for oneself and one's family.
