Synopsis:
This is a story about a lady whose sailor husband has been held captive on a ship hijacked by Somali pirates. How does she live through that ordeal? CNN-IBN’s Priyali Sur practically stayed with Sampa Arya for over 2 weeks and documented all that she went through, the emotional roller-coaster of trying to save her husband. Knocking at the doors of ministers and bureaucrats, the trauma of midnight calls from the pirates threatening to kill her husband, putting up a brave face at home for her child, acquiring the skills to use the media as her pulpit, finally culminating in euphoria when her husband returns home.
