Synopsis:
A hush puppy is an oval-shaped dumpling of cornmeal that is deep fried and traditionally served with fried catfish. The hush puppy originated from New Orleans. In this project, we recontexualized this concept. To make a hush puppy combine cornmeal, flour, egg, salt, baking soda, milk and water in a large bowl. Fry your balls in hot oil for about 5 minutes. We cpatured footage of areas of drought, land-loss, contamination and pollution for this project.
