Synopsis:
The film chronicles the involvement of Turkey’s economic and military ally, Germany, in the first genocide of the 20th century, focusing on the Berlin-Baghdad Railway as an instrument for the annihilation of the Armenians. As allies during World War I, Germany needed the support of the Turks to maintain power in the region. All that stood in the way were the Armenians who happened to live at the geographic intersection of German and Turkish interests. Germany, the film claims, had the power to stop the Armenian Genocide but chose to do nothing. In fact, it became partners with the Turkish government in this horrific chapter of history.
