Consuelo Alba

We decided to document the life and work of Sergio Castro, because when we met him in Chiapas, he deeply inspired us.

In Spanish, El Andalón signifies a person who moves nonstop, or creates his own path.

This is exactly how Sergio Castro has lived: His dedication to serving the indigenous communities for almost 50 years, and his work educating and promoting traditional Mayan culture through his ethnographic museum, are remarkable examples of the extraordinary impact one person can make.

If you are interested in making a contribution, please note that your donation will go directly to Sergio Castro's humanitarian work in Chiapas.

Thank you!
