About Me:

Creative Expression:

1CThe social awareness and the provocative documentary style the Camcorder Guerillas champion have made a deep connection with our audiences. Their work has been consistent, popular from the outset and enduring in its
professionalism.

Camcorder Guerillas inhabit a vital place in Scottish Culture, providing a platform for voices that are increasingly marginalised in a commercial, over homogenised, media landscape. If we are to retain a diversity of opinion and a
sense of engagement in contemporary Scottish society then we need Camcorder Guerillas 1D

Francis McKee 13 Director of CCA (Glasgow Centre for Contemporary Arts)

Past Inspirations:

The Camcorder Guerillas are an award-winning community-based, voluntary collective of film-makers, artists and activists.

* We make professional quality video toolkits for those concerned with human rights, welfare and social justice initiatives. Our films are accompanied by extensive action resource packs on DVD that aim to encourage audiences to come together and work in solidarity with one another to take action around important social justice and human rights issues, thus establishing patterns of positive change in communities that are disadvantaged or face discrimination.

* We host regular screening and discussion events - in city centre cinemas, schools, community centres, festivals, Houses of Parliament, muddy fields, and homes across the country.

* We house an archive of independently produced films on issues of social and environmental justice and human rights.
