Synopsis:
The Old City of Jerusalem. The Jews have the Wailing Wall, a remnant of the destroyed temple. The Christians have the Holy Sepulcher where Jesus was crucified, buried, and resurrected. The Muslims have the Dome of the Rock, from whence Muhammad miraculously ascended to heaven. But meanwhile, in the narrow alleyways of this ancient city, Yehuda Glick wants to pray on Temple Mount in spite of police prohibition; the Greek patriarch wants to enter the Holy Tomb of Jesus on the Saturday of the Holy Fire before the Armenian patriarch; and Sumer Abed, a Muslim shop owner, has to deal with the murder of a Jewish boy at the entrance to his shop, an event recorded by the surveillance cameras of the Old City. Amongst all this religious zeal and animosity walks one Jewish secular man, the commander of the Old City police force, who feels more like a babysitter in a crowded kindergarten than a law enforcer. All this happens inside one square kilometer surrounded by ancient walls.
