Synopsis:
I traveled around South Korea in spring 2011, from Gangwha west to Mokpo, from Jangheung south to Milyang, from Gunwi east to Sealak. I made my destinations the places I'd never been before. I packed up my backpack with the least possible clothes, an insufficient travel allowance, a pocket notebook, a pencil, and a camcorder and tripod. I put on a winter coat to use as a blanket when I would sleep in the open air. I moved around by walking all day long or by hitching rides with passing motorists. I was able to pass the nights in train stations, village assembly halls, temples, churches, and sometimes in private houses. During the trip, I met about 100 people and listened to their life stories. What are you doing and what do you think about your life? What are the remarkable happy or sad moments in your life? What dreams or wishes do you hold on to?
