Focus Years: 2006 | Country: Turkey
Synopsis:
A guard of a prison in a country which is known for its viciousness, ruthlessness and violence, was doing his periodic check of the cells. When he reaches the window of the last cell, a mild smile covers his face as if he sees something expected through the window. This unusual situation draws rest of the people’s attention. Suddenly, many rush to the cell, some of these people are prison guards, some of them are friends, relatives and ordinary people from the public. One man photographs this interesting view. Another person has brought his child to see it. One other person laughs and walks forward. One young man does cursing sign with his fingers towards it. Two women enjoy themselves and have fun. The last man mocks the situation. What really happens in the cell is the proof of: ruthlessness and violence becoming a usual part of life; insensitivity and how we perceive the real human dramas as a colorful show that we also become part of it day by day.
