Jose's last hope to succeed in life is with his father. But because of poverty and his father's sickness (tuberculosis) which leads to his death, Jose's hope fade away. He became one of those street children in Luneta Park. He has a best friend who indulged in illegal jobs including snatching and pickpocketing. During their last talk, his best friend gave him a bracelet as remembrance. After that, Jose never heard from his best friend again. Time passes, and Jose became a vendor who sells bottled water. He is a religious person and always believes that anyone can be a hero, just like his adored Philippine national hero Dr. Jose Rizal. One day, his nursing student friend encounters a snatcher. He tries to help her, chasing the snatcher, but at a remote place, he is stabbed to death. The snatcher realized that the one he killed was Jose, his long-lost best friend. His bracelet and Jose's bracelet tells it all....
