Synopsis:
"Jerusalem Movie" offers a lyrical perspective to the explosive events of 2000-2001. Elena Canetti combines the pain for the love lost and the disappointment for the broken dream of peace in a poetic epistle in which town and individual become one. The sensitive eye of the camera and the personal voice - at times ironic, always sincere - capture the confusion and perplexity at the dismantlement of normal life. In a metaphorical reading, the absent girlfriend to whom the letter is addressed alludes to a continent that has shaped both history and identities in this part of the world.
