Synopsis:
Co-produced by George Clooney, Steven Soderbergh and Grant Heslov, this is a groundbreaking investigation into the multi-million dollar pedophilia industry. Filmmaker Libby Spears infiltrated the brothels of Asia, then traced the sex tourists back to America. What she discovered was that it is as easy to buy a child in the US as it is in Asia. Speaking to pimps, victims and police officers, she exposes how young children are pushed into prostitution. Running alongside the investigation is the personal stories of the victims. We follow the main character, Michelle, over a five year period.
