At this time of a global nutritional crisis, "GUR PRASAD: The Grace of Food" celebrates India's rich living tradition of food sharing in Punjab. It is filmed within the hearts of remote, rural free Community kitchens called Langars, as conceptualized by the Gurus and as widely practiced today by communities. A 76 year old lady who walks each morning at 2 am to cook breakfast at the local food kitchen; an 11 year old boy who runs away from home to live and serve meals at the Gurudwara or Sikh temple; a group of villages who contribute each day to keep the very recipes their Guru introduced 300 years ago, going.
