The Tale of the Bushmen| 1hr : 03mins
Director: Pierre Mann | Producer: De Visu Productions
Focus Years: 2007 | Country: France
Synopsis:
The bushmen are among the rare inhabitants of our planet who subsist on gathering and hunting. They fulfill their natural needs in a few hours of daily work. The rest of the time is given up to social and family relations and rituals. Ancestral spirits are important elements in the community. They believe in their protective force, their care, but also their anger when there is transgression of the rules or customs. Pierre Mann presents very touching scenes and offers an unique testimony about a people living in nature in the African bush, and their ancestral rites. His film is a poignant witness to what is our own past.
