Synopsis:
“Soul of the Reef†pictures underwater environments of the Persian Gulf and the Oman Sea – the waters of Iran, as well as other neighboring countries. “Soul of the Reef†does not have an oral narration and can thus relate to international audiences through poetry of underwater pictures combined with its touching, original sound track. The film was novel at its time, both for the subject matter it treated as well as the style chosen. “Soul of the Reef†shone in many festivals and won several national and international awards, but its most important achievement for the producers is that two years after the film was screened, the Iranian government passed a law for the protection of the reef in the Persian Gulf.
