The Trail was commissioned by the Miami University Women's Center and funded as part of TwoTrees' Lila Wallace Readers Digest International Artist Award. The communities that participated included the Shawnee United Remnant Band, Urban Appalachian League, Northern Kentucky African American Association and Miami University.
